SERVICE ADVISOR - 6 Month Contract with Potential for Full-Time/Regular

Alta Nissan Richmond Hill’s ever-growing operation is looking for a motivated, driven and high-performing Service Advisor to join the team for a 3 to 6 month placement, with the potential for regular/full-time employment. Successful candidates will have experience in a dealership service environment, we offer great compensation plans and training to help you succeed. As a steward of the JLR brand, candidates should possess a strong belief in guest satisfaction & quality workmanship.

About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position will assist customers with requests for repair, service concerns and vehicle inspections.  Specifically:

  • Obtain customer vehicle data, history and odometer reading.
  • Manage the repair order process, approvals, labour estimates/authorization calls and follow-ups.
  • Offer and arrange alternative transport for customers (Rental vehicle or shuttle), if necessary.
  • Answer all technical repair work and price-related questions for customers.
  • Test-drive vehicles.
  • Resolve customer complaints courteously and promptly, or refer to Service Manager.
  • Keep abreast of relevant changes in automobiles and dealership products.
  • Maintain awareness of factory-recommended maintenance schedules.
  • Attention to detail when documenting their inquiries, concerns and contact information.

About you…

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience in a dealership Service Department, and have a passion for performance.  Skills and attitudes include:

  • One (1) to three (3) years working experience in a dealership Service environment
  • Minimum three (3) years working in a customer-facing role
  • Previous experience with Nissan is considered an asset
  • Must be flexible to work some evenings and Saturdays, as business demands increase
  • Highest degree of professionalism and brand representation
  • Great communication skills
  • Reliability, productivity and a positive attitude are some of the strong traits we are looking for
