About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible for locating, evaluating and completing the purchase of pre-owned vehicles for resale from auto auctions, customers and other dealers.  Specifically:

  • evaluate and appraise customer vehicles using state of the art software
  • provide customers with a free, no-obligation appraisal value for their vehicle
  • meet customers and explain that the dealership is interested in purchasing their vehicle
  • collect and report data and analytics to sales management
  • innovate and create new methods of acquiring pre-owned vehicles for the dealership inventory from various sources
  • track and maintain a database of customers and their vehicles for follow-up purposes
  • review vehicle condition reports
  • determine wholesale and retail prices
  • handle shipping vehicles to the dealership
  • inspect and accept vehicles arriving on site
  • resolve discrepancies regarding condition inspections and actual condition at arrival
  • create and execute reconditioning action plan to prepare vehicle for retail

 

About you….

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience in vehicle sales and inventory development, including:

  • two (2) years proven experience in vehicle sales
  • experience assessing and appraising vehicles
  • strong administrative and customer service background
  • proficiency working with ERP and Customer Database/Relationship Management systems
  • strong ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
  • proven ability to influence change
  • ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
  • strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
