Intermediate Accountant

Newmarket Nissan and Infiniti is looking for an Intermediate Accountant who can support the accounting functions of the Dealership. We provide the opportunities, resources and support your need to grow and develop your career. The successful candidate must have previous accounting experience, able to work both independently and in a team environment and be eager to learn and grow with our Group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, deposit, cheques, etc.)
  • Process deals and reconcile schedules pertaining to deals
  • Reconcile credit card statements and other accounts
  • Assist in closing month adhering to deadlines
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years previous accounting experience
  • Must have dealership accounting experience such as Accounts payable/receivables, Deal Docket posting, account reconciliations, source deductions etc
  • Hands-on knowledge of Reynolds & Reynolds or ADP/CDK is an asset
  • Accounting Diploma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong teamwork and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines
