About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of keeping the dealership facilities orderly.  Specifically:

• Maintain company parking lots; move parked vehicles to ensure ample parking is available for customers; rearrange vehicles as needed to maximize space and availability
• Maintain condition of showroom vehicles
• Organize vehicle displays
• Receive vehicles into inventory; register and store keys securely, inspect vehicles for any damage, prepare vehicles for display
• Stock in arrived/sold units in the DMS
• Perform vehicle licensing, as required
• Co-ordinate the collection of dealer traded vehicles
• Maintain company premises, including removal of litter, debris and snow; maintenance of plants and grounds; removal of visible hazards, et cetera
• Maintain walkway accessibility in inclement weather
• Participate in the retreival and delivery of customer vehicles; as required
• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure sufficient levels of fuel; refuel vehicles prior to customer delivery
• Ensure that all dealership vehicles are equipped with wheel locks and anti-theft devices
• As required wash vehicle exterior in preperation for display/delivery
• Positively represent the Company at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanour
• Uphold the standards of excellence
• Participate in meetings and trainings, as required
• Perform other tasks based on management instructions and performance requirements

About you…

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience with customer service, including:

• 1 to 2 years of proven experience as a vehicle jockey/lot attendant/porter
• Saturday availability
• Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience
• ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract
• ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
• ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
• strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
• ability to maintain professionalism
• ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
• a desire to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• a proven commitment to quality of work
